The American Heart Association (AHA), publishing partner of LWW, along with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, encourages everyone to wear red on Friday, February 5, 2010 in support of women's heart disease awareness. This is part of the Go Red For Women initiative, designed to raise heart disease awareness and prevent cardiovascular disease and related conditions in women.

Maine Hospitals making it easier to donate to Haiti Disaster Relief

DAMARISCOTTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- People who work at two midcoast hospitals will have an easier time donating to Haiti relief.

Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta and St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor are giving staff members the chance to donate a day off.  Click the link about for details and video on WCSH6 web site.
