Linda Lamberson, nominated by Noreen Vincent, was the winner of the Sister Consuela White Spirit of Nursing Award. Linda was recognized for her caring leadership and expert practice as an educator in the University of Southern Maine’s nursing program.

Julia Johnson, nominated by Mary Hoffman, was the winner of the Sister Consuela White Spirit of Nursing Award Staff Nurse Award. Julia was recognized for her skilled care to patients and families as a nurse at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House of Hospice of Southern Maine.

Margaret Hourigan, nominated by Joyce Coburn was the winner of the Agnes E. Flaherty Nursing Leadership Award. Margaret was recognized for her leadership in nursing education and in professional organizations.

Ann Sawyer, nominated by Mary Hoffman, was the winner of the Agnes E. Flaherty Nursing Leadership Staff Nurse Award. Ann was recognized for her leadership skills that grew and supported a nursing hospice team at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House of Hospice of Southern Maine.

Nominees for the Agnes E Flaherty Award included Barbara Mispilken, nominated by Cecilia Garrett for her leadership as a nurse manager at Togus Veteran’s Hospital , Augusta, Maine; Lynn Cote was nominated by Pat Camire for her leadership as a nurse manager at Southern Maine Medical Center. Linda Abernathy was nominated by Ann Rogerson for her leadership as a nurse administrator at Dorethea Dix Psychiatric Center.

Nominees for the Sister Consuela White Spirit of Nursing Award included Nancy Nickerson nominated by Patricia Holt for her excellence as a nurse practioner caring for older adults through Mature Care and for her volunteer work in humanitarian projects. Carol Demarkis, nominated by Amander Wooten, was recognized for her expert and compassionate practice in emergency care at Mercy Hospital; Cheryl Merrill, nominated by Deborah Ann Hoch was recognized for her nursing excellence on a transplant unit at Maine Medical Center; and Dolores Sullivan, nominated by Jan Bell, was recognized for her excellent, caring practice in medical surgical nursing at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
